Time for another update!, its been a while..

Well first off my stats are always rising, I'm now approaching 536,000 player impressions, over 3,000 fans/friends, around 8,000 song plays, and in the region of 25,000 page views or visits.

I have two youtube channels, http://www.youtube.com/user/sozoheaven which is my music channel, and http://www.youtube.com/user/phunquay which is a general music I like channel, but also several guitar cover videos I have made, please check them out.

Both of those channels total views are now around 100,000, I have numerous videos that I have created, and more will be appearing so do check back when you can.

Right now I am working on a live version of Sozo Heaven, I have been in the studio with my drummer Paul and bass/keyboard player David, we are at this time working out how we can bring the recordings into a live context.

It's looking good, and I hope in the near future to record some footage of our rehearsals in HD, for some showcase videos for my youtube channel.

I have also launched my own music publishing service 'ABMP' and signed my first client Alanjay Lori, a composer who specializes in spaghetti western music, featuring none other than Alessandro Alessandroni the famous whistler for the Sergio Leone/Ennio Moriconne spaghetti western soundtracks!

Moving on, vision and plan..

My vision is to use my music to get people in touch with God, a real living breathing relationship.

But I realise there are alot of people who don't believe in God, or have no time for such things and as such I have never tried to push what I believe onto anyone, just to continue to walk in love.

I want my music to stir up a response, a yearning for something hidden deep within that would result in finding Jesus Christ.

If you just enjoy listening to the music, thats no problem!, but I hope that it leads you to the path of truth.

As for my plan, I am starting to produce videos that I will use as a showcase to generate viral results, I already have a network of pages on reverbnation, facebook and myspace. I'm also producing and selling CD's, I have a franchise idea that is still in its experimental stage, but appears to be working!

I have now finally gone past the half million mark for reverbnation music player impressions, as I type its up to around 502,000, with tens of thousands of page views and track plays.

I have now sold my car! woo! :), so it is very likely I will invest more into music and video production, increasing the quality.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey, if you have ever played/bought one of my tracks, or left a comment, that is you!

Time for a small update..

Firstly I have changed my reverbnation URL, to www.revernation.com/sozoheaven I was using my name before, but I think its now better to use my artist pseudonym

I am right on top of getting 500,000 widget impressions for my reverbnation music player, other stats continue to rise, nearly 14,000 myspace views, with maybe an overall total of around 7,500 plays.

I've been having some more jamming sessions with Paul Roebuck (from quality portsmouth metal band 'Akakios'), have found a bass player, now just got to get them in the same room!

Right now I'm trying to sell my car, with the extra capital I intend to setup a dedicated DAW with plenty of ram with some nice nearfield/flat sounding monitors to improve my production quality.

November 2010 New albums and pages

2 new Sozo Heaven albums are up and avaliable on itunes and amazon mp3, 'Chase the golden dream' and 'Breaking the eclipse'. Both albums are co-credited with another artist 'Enthuse Radical', whose conventional name is Terry Eckersley.

Another 20 chilled out tracks, from classical to contemporary electronica in style with a generous helping of acoustic instrumentation, all tracks are performed by Andrew Bates, with conceptual assitance from Terry, all the music is also avaliable on the Thinkmediamusic online library at www.thinkmediamusic.com freely avaliable for any media application, TV, Film, Advertising etc

Additionally another side project titled 'The personal development relaxation meditation guru monks' has been started, also involving more music by Andrew and Terry, along with 2 other TMM composers Owen Wilkins and Paul Longland (although Paul is not signed up to TMM)

Sept 2010 new albums and stats!

The two new Sozo albums are officially released on itunes, they are co-writes with another muso 'Enthuse Radical', the albums are 'Chase the golden dream' and 'Breaking the eclipse' 20 tracks of chillout/contemporary instrumentals, I will soon build some pages and upload the tracks.. You heard it here first!

I've gone past the 400,000 mark for my Sozo widget placement!, basically it means potentially that is how many visitors have seen my Sozo info/music player, now aiming for the half million mark!

Had a quick practice with a new drummer I met recently, Paul Roebuck. Paul is already in a band 'Akakios' check them out on myspace, they also have a few videos on Youtube, hopefully at some point in the not too distant future we will be performing live.

I am also now officially signed over as the new co-director for Thinkmediamusic Ltd www.thinkmediamusic.com with a 40% share, in our long term plan we are looking to sign up new composers, so watch this space...

Music used on BBC's 'Inside out'

So the statement is in, I have 3 tracks used on BBC's 'Inside out' programme, also Andy Sutton, editor of ITV's Monkey Business and numerous other TV shows has requested access to my publishing company's online library. We've already provided music for Andy for the MB show, which is still showing on Animal Planet, and also on Japanese network TV.

I've sent 2 more albums off to itunes, 20 collaborative tracks between myself and another muso, when they are offically released I will create a reverbnation page and myspace page to back it up.

My band is quietly getting there, I've started making a list of songs, so far there are 6 on there, but I know its more than that, just got to get a bit more organised!, when we have some material recorded I will make a couple of web pages for that aswell..

My music has been placed on a BBC TV primetime program!, don't know which one yet.. info has come through from my royalties distributor, more news at www.thinkmediamusic.com the music company/library I co-own and manage. TMM has high googlerankings, type 'media music' or 'production music' into google to see for yourself.

We are looking at signing more composers in the future, watch this space...

We are also starting to recieve royalties back from JASRAC the Japanese royalties society for music used on the ITV program Monkey Business, a number of my tracks are also on the program, you can buy the DVD of the series from the Monkey world website.

My band is doing well, more practicing, big things on the horizon, follow this blog for the latest info on songs and videos!

Meeting up with Herbie Armstrong

Just took a jaunt over to see Herbie at his place in Rowlands Castle, just sitting there listening to a lifetime of his music/celeb stories, Herbie played Guitar for Van Morrison and has been his good friend since they were kids.

Herbie is good friends with among others Kenny Young (Under the boardwalk), Nick Beggs - bassplayer for Kajagoogoo and Roger Taylor from Queen, well he told me he knew Roger years ago before they got famous, we were talking about cars, Roger had bought a cheap Alpha Romeo, then after they got successful he bought a nice brand new black Ferrari, pulled up outside a hotel or somesuch and the doorman says 'hey mate is that a new car?', Roger says 'yeh', 'well I don't like to tell you this but.. its leaking' oops!

Herbie chatted a bit more his background, and we discussed some topical issues over a beer in the summer sun, well actually it was a bit cloudy, but the humidity made up for it!.. gasp! nice cool beer :P

I'll wend my way over there again soon, I'm tired now so I hope this blog didn't sound weird?, just been working today and need to sleep.. hoo boy...!

Will be putting down some info soon about the new band I've fired up...!

Welcome to the Sozo Heaven blog, yet another outlet for the growing phenomenon that is Sozo Heaven...

Currently there are around 1,600 fans and friends, 13,000+ page views, 5,000+ music plays, and nearly 380,000 widget hits, the vision for this project is to provide beautiful instrumentals for the listening pleasure and benefit of the fans and just anyone who likes a mixture of chilled out electronica/classical and alternative music.

Sozo Heaven thrives on the support of its listeners and would not be in the position it is without the passion and encouragement of those supporters, and I am always extremely grateful for that support, I hope to entice further support through this blog, and thank everyone who gives it generously in advance.
